Some Useful CSS Resources For Developers

One thing I am always looking out for is good CSS resources, so I thought I’d share some of the the ones I’ve used in the past for making things like navigation bars, rounded corners etc. I try to create these things from scratch myself but often these sites can give you a good nudge in the right direction, or they may have a template that fits perfectly with your design.

  • Highdots CSS Tab Designer: This is a neat little download for windows that will automatically generate the CSS for a whole different range of tab menus. Horizontal, Vertical, Square, Rounded and lots more. It includes over 60 styles all of which it says are xhtml compliant.
  • Dynamic Drive, CSS Library. This is a great resource when you get stuck with your CSS or are looking for inspiration. Includes many examples of Menus, Image control, Forms, Buttons and Layouts.
  • CSS Rounded Box Generator. Simple little online utility to create some rounded corner boxes for your web pages. Allows you to select a box colour and background colour.

Hope these will be of some use, if you know of other great CSS resources feel free to post them in comments.
